Gerald Winters and Son Plants is proud to introduce you to our newest offering – Nules Clementine Pot of 2 Starter Tree. Nules Clementine (Citrus clementina) trees, are a hybrid of the mandarin, and an excellent choice for beginning gardeners. They are considered the sweetest of the citrus, and are less acidic than oranges. They are somewhat cold-hardy, but are best grown indoors by those who live north of USDA hardiness zone 8. Although many gardeners grow clementines for their tasty fruit, it is also an attractive landscape plant, with glossy green leaves and an appealing shape. Clementines need minimal pruning and are not prone to diseases or pests as much as other citrus. Many buyers love growing clementines because they make an attractive potted plant. Clementines are man-made hybrids of the mandarin orange and do not grow wild anywhere. Mandarins are native to Southeast Asia and the Philippines, but are widely grown in the southern part of the U.S. Sweet, juicy, and easy to peel, the Nules Clementine produces abundantly and organically in sun-soaked areas, indoors or out. Also, this tree's fruit is virtually seedless. This starter tree is grown from seed and is currently between 3'' and 5'' in height above soil. Please Note: there is two (2) small seedlings in a single pot, to save you money. It will continue to grow either outdoor, or indoor when temperatures reach freezing temperature. For indoor growing, we highly recommend using UV Grow Lights, as there is no loss of development. They can vary in size, but are quick growing, so even a smaller plant will be considerably larger in a couple of weeks. Our horticulturists have planted, grown and nurtured our Clementine Mandarin trees since seed, and have cared for them for a minimum of 4 months. They are well rooted, healthy, and ready to be adopted into your family, to bring you years of joy. Propagated by Gerald Winters and Son Plants of Bangor, Maine. Adopt one today.
